Boiler Refurbishment for the London Borough of Lambeth (Housing Dept.)

Project Description

 

The project involved the removal of the existing gas fired boilers, circulation pumps and pipework. New gas pipe was installed from the entry point into the boiler room as part of this contract.

 

New boiler bases were installed, following the removal of the redundant bases. Two new 261kW Remeha Gas 310-5 condensing boilers were installed, complete with fully modulating gas burners.

 

The existing pipework was made up of three compensated (heating) and one constant temperature circuit (Hot Water).  A new low loss header was formed complete with twin pump sets.

 

The existing concrete flue was lined and a new sealed twin walled stainless steel flue was installed to serve the boilers. New stainless steel sealed, twin walled flue was installed from the boilers to the stack. Two new Hamworthy Stock hot water cylinders, complete with controls.

 

A new control panel was installed complete with Seachange BMS controls. The new system was completely rewired. The contract included all builders’ works. including the installation of new louvred doors to the boiler room.
